The Plymouth Fire Department Station 27 has announced that it will hold a RecruitNY Open House on April 19th, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, encouraging community residents to visit the station and learn more about the volunteer fire service.

Halligan the Dalmatian, the Fire Chief's Aide from the Toms River Fire Department, will make a special appearance at the event, having traveled from the Jersey Shore.

Residents are urged to bring their families and meet the firefighters who protect the Plymouth community. Department personnel will also present information to anyone interested in becoming volunteer firefighters.

Hotdogs and water will be given to participants while supplies last. Officials stated that more information on the event will be revealed as the date approaches.
