Battalion 5 Firefighters Complete Annual OSHA Training

Members of the Genoa Volunteer Fire Department attended their yearly OSHA refresher training with mutual aid partners from Cayuga County Battalion 5.


Meridian Fire Training Solutions LLC presented the training in the Southern Cayuga School District auditorium. A total of 23 Genoa firemen joined over 100 participants from several departments, including the Aurora Volunteer Fire Department, King Ferry Fire Department, Long Hill Fire Department, Poplar Ridge Fire Department, and Scipio Fire Department.


Officials commended the Southern Cayuga Central School District for providing the training facilities, as well as Locke Fire & Rescue for covering the district's first-aid response while members were training.
