LOWMAN, NY — March 8th — In honor of International Women's Day, the Baldwin Volunteer Fire Company, located at 460 Breesport N. Chemung Rd., Lowman, NY, honored a number of its members. The agency emphasized the contribution of women to community response and fire service operations. Fire Police Captain Brenda Grover, fireman Kayla Earley, EMT Sam Ferriter, EMT Jalisa Ferriter, Captain and EMT Becky Spencer, and Treasurer Peggy Phillips were among the members honored.
Each performs operational or support functions for the department, assisting with daily operations and emergency response. Members that work as firefighters, EMS providers, fire police, and administrative staff are essential to volunteer fire departments throughout New York State. These individuals contribute to the Baldwin Volunteer Fire Company's ability to continue offering the community dependable emergency services, according to department management.
