Franklinville Firefighters Train on Ladder Placement and Operations

FRANKLINVILLE, NY — March 9th — A training session on ladder placement and ladder operations was held by the Franklinville Volunteer Fire Department, located at 77 N Main St., Franklinville, NY. During the evening training, firefighters went over proper ladder placement, climbing techniques, and teamwork during fireground operations. Ladders are an essential tool for roof access, ventilation, and rescue during building fires. Frequent training ensures that firefighters can position and use ladders in an emergency situation in a safe and effective manner.


In order to be prepared, volunteer departments throughout New York State depend on regular training. Drills like this assist participants retain coordination and hone skills as warmer weather approaches and activity levels rise. To keep firemen ready, the Franklinville Volunteer Fire Department continues to host regular training sessions all year long.
