BRIGHTON, NY — March 10th — Brighton Fire Department members took part in a training drill focusing on hazardous materials response and decontamination procedures.
During the event, firefighters inspected and interacted with Monroe County's HazMat response truck and discussed the equipment and resources available for hazardous materials occurrences. Crews also simulated setting up a decontamination room to emphasize procedures for protecting responders and the public during hazardous material incidents.
Brighton Fire Department commended the Monroe County Fire Bureau for their ongoing support and aid with training.
