EAGLE BAY, NY — March 2nd — Fire Boat 204 will be operational on the Fulton Chain of Lakes during the summer and fall of 2026, according to the Eagle Bay Volunteer Hose Company. Donations from locals, companies, and supporters in the surrounding Adirondack communities made the new marine unit possible. Water-based emergency operations, such as fire suppression, water rescue, and shoreline events where conventional equipment may have restricted access, will be supported by Fire Boat 204.

During the warmer months, the Fulton Chain is a bustling recreational area with more boat traffic and seasonal tourists. In order to buy specialized equipment, volunteer fire departments in the Adirondack region frequently rely on community donations and fundraisers. Strong community support for local emergency services is reflected in the project, according to department officials.
