Groton, NY — February 13th — Lauren Dickenson, a member of the Groton Fire agency and Ambulance, 108 E Cortland St., was honored for her dedication to the agency and the local community. Dickenson's commitment to emergency response and public safety initiatives that assist people in the Groton area and throughout Tompkins County was acknowledged by department authorities.


Frequently responding to fires, medical emergencies, and community crises, volunteer firefighters and EMS personnel continue to play a significant role in the county's emergency services system. Dickenson's role in training, reaction readiness, and departmental operations assistance is reflected in her recognition. Members of the Groton Fire Department and Ambulance accepted the award as a token of gratitude for her continued efforts and dedication to helping the community and bolstering the volunteer emergency services network in the area.
