— March 7th — Members of the Kennedy Fire Department gathered for the 2026 Annual Banquet to honor the service and devotion of firemen and EMS personnel during the previous year.

Rob Smith, Liz Smith, Melissa Fardink, Corey Swanson, Shondae Nowicki, and Matt Elderkin were honored at the event as EMS Personnel of the Year for their dedication to patient care and emergency response. Josh Bennett was named Firefighter of the Year for his service to the department and the community. The department’s executive members also recognized Chief Keith Bean for reaching 10 years of service as chief.
