On March 1st, the Baxley Fire Department performed live fire training as part of their firefighter education and preparedness. Members of the department's firefighter class participated in hands-on evolutions that simulated real-world firefighting situations such as heat, smoke, and active flames. Live burn training enables firefighters to practice decision-making, hose operations, and firefighting procedures in a controlled setting.
