CRYSTAL RIVER, FL — February 21st — Crystal River Fire Department B-Shift firemen and volunteers trained in primary search operations, which are one of the most important responsibilities performed on the fireground.

During the evening training session, crews tested search strategies, victim removal concerns, and crew communication in low-visibility and high-stress scenarios. Firefighters worked together to reinforce search patterns, directed search strategies, radio communication processes, and accountability practices.

Officials say that regular hands-on training helps firemen maintain the discipline and coordination needed to quickly locate and remove people during structural fires.

Crystal River Fire Department commanders stated that continual training reinforces the department's commitment to professional development and ensures that firefighters are ready to serve residents and visitors with competent emergency response.
