Recruit Class 25-03 Advances Through Fire Academy

— February 21st —Clayton County Fire & Emergency Services completed training for Recruit Class 25-03 with live burn exercises that taught the principles of firefighting.


During the training, trainees worked with seasoned firemen who took them through controlled fire scenarios and reiterated fireground safety measures. The exercise allowed recruits to practice fire attack skills, collaboration, and decision-making under realistic settings.


In addition to live fire training, trainees practiced pump operation calculations and other critical abilities needed for engine company operations. According to department officials, the training prepares new firefighters for the challenges of emergency response while also laying the groundwork for a successful firefighting career.


Recruit Class 25-03 will receive further hands-on training as they proceed through the department's academy curriculum.
