Multi-Agency Disaster Drill Held at Panama City Beach Airport

On the morning of February 27, Panama City Beach Fire Rescue supported the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport ARFF Fire Department with their necessary triennial disaster drill. The exercise is held every three years to assess emergency response coordination for large-scale aircraft catastrophes.

The training brought together many agencies to simulate unified command, rescue operations, and coordinated emergency response protocols at the airport. Participating agencies included the Panama City Fire Department, Lynn Haven Fire Rescue, NSA Panama City Fire & Emergency Services, Mexico Beach Fire Rescue, Springfield Fire Rescue, Tyndall Air Force Base Fire Rescue, the Florida Department of Health, the Florida Division of Emergency Management, and Bay County Emergency Services.
