— February 21st —Union County Fire/Rescue and EMA praised the Rotary Club of Union County, Georgia, for supplying Narcan to area first responders through a community grant.

The Rotary Club raised funds to acquire the medication and deliver it to emergency organizations throughout the county. Narcan, also known as naloxone, is used to counteract the effects of opioid overdoses and can also protect first responders who may be exposed to opioids while on duty. According to department officials, the additional supply increases firefighters' and emergency personnel's capacity to respond to overdose events and improve patient outcomes.

Union County Fire/Rescue and EMA thanked the Rotary Club for its ongoing support and commitment in advancing public safety and community health.
