DALTON, GA — February 18th — Whitfield County firefighters and members of Fire Explorer Post 5900 attended Winterfest, a nationwide tournament held by the Boy Scouts of America, where Explorer posts from various states gathered for a weekend of training and competition.

The program included skill-based challenges, team-building exercises, and chances for students interested in fire and emergency services careers to network with peers and mentors. This was Whitfield County's first participation in the Winterfest tournament.

The students competed against 14 teams from various regions, representing Whitfield County and the Northwest Georgia College & Career Academy with professionalism and teamwork throughout the event.
