Dushore, PA - On February 8 at 1500 hours, members of Station 57 and Station 58 successfully completed their recertification training in CPR, AED, and LUCAS device skills at Station 58.
The training covered Adult and Infant CPR, Adult AED use, and operation of the LUCAS device. An AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) is a device that analyzes heart rhythm and delivers an electric shock when necessary to help restore normal heart function during sudden cardiac arrest. The LUCAS device is a portable, battery-operated mechanical chest compression system designed to deliver automated, high-quality, and consistent CPR.
Special thanks were extended to Station 58 for hosting the training session.
