CLERMONT, FL — February 25th —The Clermont Fire Department offered regional fire sprinkler training for crews from Groveland Fire Department and Minneola Fire Rescue. The hands-on event used customized sprinkler and pump training trailers to teach participants about sprinkler system operations, response considerations, and real-world applications.
According to officials, the training helped firemen grasp system components, water supply connections, and methods for functioning in buildings with automated sprinklers. Multi-agency participation improved coordination and interoperability among surrounding departments.
The agency commended the National Fire Sprinkler Association for delivering the training and promoting ongoing professional development. Leaders said ongoing education and regional collaboration help improve firefighter safety and ensure departments are prepared to respond effectively to incidents involving fire protection systems.
