Chief Roger Swint Retires After 46 Years of Service

Morrow, GA — February 26th — The City of Morrow Fire Department hosted a retirement ceremony to honor Fire Chief Roger Swint, who has served for 46 years. Swint's career began when he was 10, accompanying his father on calls, and it was formalized when he joined the Jonesboro Volunteer Fire Department at the age of 18. He spent the last 21 years working for the City of Morrow, eventually rising to the position of Fire Chief.

Fellow retirees, city officials, friends, and department members all attended the farewell ceremony. Throughout his career, Chief Swint was praised for his consistent leadership and dedication to the job.
