First Due Engine Crew After A Large Fire In East Farmingdale

At approximately 17:00 hours on February 20th, 2023 the East Farmingdale Fire Company was alerted for a commercial fire at 65 Allen Blvd. Upon arrival of the chiefs a working fire was transmitted. Upon arrival of Engine 1-5-6 they put lines into operation. Upon request of the command an extra 1&1 was requested to the scene, South Farmingdale for the ladder, North Lindenhurst for the engine. Upon orders from the incident commander everyone was pulled out of the building and crews attacked the fire defensively. A minimum of four master streams operated to knock the fire from above, as well as multiple hand lines were put in place as well. Mutual aid consisted of South Farmingdale Fire Department for a Ladder (978), Farmingdale Fire Department for an Engine (923), North Lindenhurst Fire Department for an Engine (1-11-1) and a ambulance (1-11-7), North Amityville for an Engine (1-7-10), and an ambulance (1-7-8), Amityville Fire Department for a Ladder (1-1-5), and an ambulance (1-1-11), West Babylon Fire Department for the Rapid Intervention Team (1-9-4), Wyandanch Fire Company for a Ladder to standby (1-10-5), and the Babylon Fire Department for an Engine to standby (1-2-1). Units operated under Chief of The East Farmingdale Fire Company Scott Lewis (1-5-30). The cause of the fire is under investigation.
