The Old Saybrook FD responded to a fire alarm off Ingham Hill Road on February 3rd. Shortly thereafter, crews were dispatched on a mutual aid assignment to the Town of Essex for a reported residential structure fire. Firefighters assisted Essex units with fire suppression and overhaul operations, working under cold nighttime conditions to bring the incident under control.
