Woodbury, CT – The Woodbury Vol. FD’s annual fire safety bonfire of discarded Christmas trees and evergreens was a blazing success, held on the evening of January 24th. Several hundred town residents watched the 6pm controlled burn in front of the fire department at 25 Quassuk Road and enjoyed hot cocoa, cookies, and a tour of the firehouse afterwards. “It’s a grand display and an education of how quickly fire can spread,” says Chief Janet B. Morgan.
