Blaze destroys home in Cornwall-on-Hudson

Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. At approximately noon on Tuesday, May 20th, firefighters in Cornwall-on-Hudson were alerted for a structure fire at 13 Boulevard at Mountain Road.

Units arrived on scene and reported a working fire in a single family dwelling with the fire in the rear of the structure. The second alarm was quickly alerted, bringing Cornwall, and New Windsor to the scene with Washingtonville as the FAST team.

Salisbury Mills and West Point were requested to standby at Cornwall on Hudson’s station.

After quick work of the fire, command alerted Orange County 911 that the fire was under control at 12:28 p.m. with overhaul operations in progress.

A fire investigator was requested at the scene, with 36-15 soon enroute. The cause and origin of the fire are under investigation.

No firefighter or civilian injuries were reported.
