Woonsocket firefighters were called to extinguish a fire that consumed most of the garage located in the rear of 71 South Street around 4pm on December 28th, 2019. Firefighters quickly went to work, and put out the fire in about 30 minutes. There were no injuries however there was at least one car that was destroyed in the blaze.
