Brea, CA - On December 13th at 1:32PM at the 57 freeway and Tonner Canyon in the City of Brea, a vegetation fire was reported. First in units found a 4-5 acre vegetation fire moving up and over a hillside. Fire units from LA County, Fullerton, Brea and OCFA fought the fire and with the assistance of Fire Helicopter drops were able knock down the fire in approximately one hour. County employees said that the cause of the fire seemed to come from a bunch of balloons that got tangled in electrical lines causing an arc that ignited the vegetation. No injuries were reported.
