On December 15th, Members of the Mashpee Fire Department participated in practical rescue training that emphasized technical rescue abilities and rope operations. To train members on knots, tying methods, anchoring, hauling systems, and safe operating procedures, the department invited David Ogilvie of Rope Rescue Tech.

Additionally, crews received training on the department's new CMC: Rescue, Safety, Access rope system, which will be installed on Ladder 1. Members were able to familiarize themselves with the equipment and encourage correct setup and use during the session. The Mashpee Fire Department expressed gratitude to Mr. Ogilvie for his guidance and ongoing assistance as crews improve their technical rescue capabilities.
