November 20, 2025 — Members of the Califon Fire Company took their training on the road Monday night, participating in a live-burn exercise at the Hunterdon County Emergency Services Training Center (HCESTC).
Crews operated through multiple Level 3 scenarios, focusing on fire suppression, search operations, scene command, and coordinated tactical response. The high-intensity training provided realistic conditions designed to strengthen decision-making, teamwork, and operational efficiency.
Support for the exercise was provided by the Califon First Aid Squad, which supplied an ambulance, and the Pottersville Volunteer Fire Company of Pottersville, NJ, which supplied a tender.
Department officials praised the strong interagency cooperation and the hard work of everyone involved, calling the night a successful and valuable training evolution.
