November 14, 2025 — Firefighters at Fire Station 1 received a generous upgrade this week thanks to a donation from Leadership Lakeland Class XLII and Crowder Bros. Ace Hardware, who provided a brand-new grill to support daily station life.

The donation was made in partnership with the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce and is already being put to good use.

Firefighters regularly share meals as part of their daily routines and long-standing station traditions, making the gift both practical and meaningful.

The Lakeland Fire Department expressed heartfelt appreciation for the support, noting that gestures like this strengthen the bond between the community and the crews who serve it.
