Lakeland Fire Department Promotes Jeremy McCutcheon to Driver Engineer

December 1, 2025 — The Lakeland Fire Department proudly announced the promotion of Jeremy McCutcheon to the rank of Driver Engineer, marking a major milestone in his 11-year career with the department.


McCutcheon joined the department in 2014 and has steadily advanced through the ranks as a Firefighter/EMT. He completed his fire standards training at Ridge Fire Academy and earned his EMT certification from Polk State College. He also holds an Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) certification and an Associate of Arts degree from Santa Fe College.


Department leadership said the promotion reflects years of dedication, continuous training, and professional growth. McCutcheon’s progression highlights the department’s commitment to developing skilled leaders from within.


The Lakeland Fire Department congratulated Driver Engineer Jeremy McCutcheon on this well-earned achievement and wished him continued success in his new role.
