Lakeland Fire Department Announces Five New Practicing Paramedics

December 3, 2025 — The Lakeland Fire Department proudly announced the successful promotion of five members to Practicing Paramedic status following completion of their final interviews with Dr. Banerjee.


Congratulations were extended to Lieutenant Chris Caustic and Firefighters Miguel Garcia, Zane Little, Nick Piper, and Everardo Rodriguez, who are now officially cleared to practice as paramedics in the field for the City of Lakeland.


Department leadership also recognized the vital role of the Field Training Officers and instructors who guided these members through months of rigorous training and ride time, noting that their dedication and mentorship were key to this milestone.


The Lakeland Fire Department praised the group’s commitment to advancing their skills and strengthening emergency medical care for the community.
