November 21, 2025 — The Haines City Fire Department spent yesterday at Bethune Academy as part of the school’s Great American Teach-In, engaging students in hands-on learning and career awareness.
Firefighters spoke with students about their roles in the community, showcased their gear, and shared critical fire safety information in an interactive classroom setting. Crews said they appreciated the opportunity to connect directly with students and answer questions about emergency response and public safety.
The department extended its thanks to Bethune Academy for the invitation and looks forward to continued partnership through future school visits.
