Chester, NH — November 12 — To emphasise critical skills required at fire scenes, firefighters from the Chester Fire Department, located at 27 Murphy Drive, conducted scenario-based training throughout the day. Crews trained in mayday procedures, search and rescue, and fire assault operations. Firefighters had the opportunity to locate hypothetical victims, advance hose lines, enter a structure, and convey changing situations in each scenario.
Additionally, the training emphasized quick intervention strategies and effective teamwork by focusing on how crews react when a fireman is missing or hurt. Working with more experienced firemen and learning established operating protocols gave probationary firefighters valuable experience.
