Merrimack, NH — November 11 — Merrimack Fire Rescue at 432 Daniel Webster Highway joined the nation in recognising Veterans Day, a day that honours anyone who served in the U.S. Armed Forces. The date celebrates the armistice that ended main hostilities in World War I in 1918, when the cease-fire took effect at the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month.

The agency acknowledged the firefighters and workers who are military veterans or actively serving, highlighting the strong relationship between military principles and emergency-service duties. Many veterans continue serving their communities by bringing teamwork, devotion, and leadership into public safety professions. Merrimack Fire Rescue also extended its appreciation to veterans throughout the community and praised them for their continuous sacrifices to the nation.
