Canton Fire Assists Avon at Working Structure Fire

As Town of Canton Fire & EMS units were returning from the Simsbury Celebrates parade on the evening of Nov. 29th, the department was dispatched for a mutual-aid response to a working structure fire in the Town of Avon. Ladder 2 responded with a full crew, along with Car 1 and Car 2. At the incident, Canton firemen helped with overhaul, primary search, and vertical ventilation.
The coordinated reaction with Avon Fire and other mutual-aid partners, according to officials, helped guarantee a secure and effective operation. All Canton units returned to service after completing their assignments.
