Litchfield, NH — November 23 — As part of a mutual-aid reaction, Litchfield Fire Rescue sent Engine 2 to Londonderry for station coverage. While Londonderry workers are dedicated to an active call, the assignment guarantees that emergency service capacity remains available. Until local resources are available again, coverage units are prepared to respond to fire or medical situations within the district.
In New Hampshire, mutual-aid agreements are commonplace and are essential to preserving public safety in situations that call for more personnel or equipment. During times of high demand, departments throughout the region assist one another by pooling resources. Firefighters from Litchfield will remain there until Londonderry command releases them. The department is still dedicated to working together with other agencies to protect citizens in all nearby communities.
