Rumney, NH — November 23 — Department Following a structure fire, the Rumney Fire Department, located at 59 Depot Street, responded with Engine 2 and a crew of five to help a nearby agency with overhaul operations. Rumney firemen made sure the facility was secure for investigators and property representatives, maintained ventilation and looked for hidden fires. Five other members stayed at the station to keep coverage in Rumney while Engine 2 worked on the situation. A key component of providing services in smaller communities, according to officials, is managing demands for mutual aid while maintaining a rapid local response.
