Danbury, CT: November 13 marked the start of Stew Leonard's 46th annual Turkey Brigade, in which all eight stores will donate 3,000 turkeys to charities that support underprivileged families with Thanksgiving meals. 600 turkeys were given out by the Danbury store, and an extra 1,000 turkeys were donated using customer reward points.

Together with store employees, members of the Danbury Police Department and Fire Department assisted in loading turkeys into vans for local organizations that would receive the donations. The long-running initiative continues to show solid community connections and support for residents during the holiday season, according to the department.
