Botsford, CT — November 9 —Botsford Fire Rescue workers, along with crews from Newtown Hook & Ladder Company No. 1 and Hawleyville Fire, attended the New Haven Fire School for annual live-burn training. Officers from each department, assisted by instructors from the Connecticut Fire Academy, led the lessons, which focused on safe and successful interior operations.
Firefighters from all three companies were mixed into combined crews, gaining vital interagency experience and increasing teamwork on the fireground. Botsford Fire Rescue stated that hands-on training like this promotes greater coordination during real-world situations and enforces consistent techniques among mutual-aid partners.
