Gorham, NH — November 14 — On Friday, Gorham Police and Gorham NH Fire & EMS responded to a car accident on Route 16/Glen Road close to Third Hole. When a car hit a utility pole, cables fell across the road, endangering oncoming cars and emergency personnel. Before any more work could be done, crews secured the area, evaluated the driver for injuries, and waited for utility workers to arrive to turn off the electricity. Due to anticipated delays, the route was temporarily closed, and drivers were advised to stay away from the area. Normal traffic flow will return after the utility company has finished repairs and cleaned the debris. Responders advise drivers to use caution, particularly on highways with poor visibility and shifting seasonal circumstances.
