Two Seriously Injured in Route 119 Crash

Rindge, NH — October 19 — On Wednesday afternoon, the Rindge Fire Department, police, and mutual aid units arrived at the scene of a two-vehicle collision on Route 119 close to Wellington Road. Firefighters verified that two people were trapped and in critical condition after dispatch reported entrapment. While EMS treated the patients, crews freed them using hydraulic rescue equipment. Due to their potentially fatal injuries, both people were taken to nearby hospitals. While police rerouted cars around the incident site, responders worked in constant traffic and kept the area secure. In the last three days, there have been three major accidents on this stretch of Route 119, which has prompted ongoing focus on traffic safety. The cause of the crash is being looked into by Rindge Police. Mutual-aid partners supplied medical services, staffing, and equipment.
