Beaver, Pa. — November 2 — Shortly after the time change, the Beaver Volunteer Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the borough late on Sunday night. Chief Meers requested more units from Station 24, then Station 28 and Station 63 as the fire conditions worsened after Beaver Police arrived first and reported a working fire. Station 23 and Conway Rehab 49 were requested to support fire attack and personnel demands as the fire proceeded to spread throughout the house.
Stations 22, 11, 84, 71, 47, and 91 joined the Beaver County Strike Team as operations grew. Firefighters performed safety checks, overhauls, and suppression for almost four hours. Throughout the event, Beaver Police and Medic Rescue offered assistance.
