Olyphant, Pa. — October 27 — Along with firemen from Dickson City and Throop, Olyphant Hose Co. #2 – Ladder 26 participated in Fire Prevention Day at Mid Valley Elementary School on Monday. Crews visited with children to go over fundamental safety procedures, show off turnout equipment, and describe how local departments handle crises. Students had a close-up look at the items used in rescue and suppression operations thanks to the firefighters' display of apparatus and equipment.

The visit aided the school's yearly fire safety initiative, which teaches kids safe household practices and explains the function of their local fire department. Through the event, the departments reinforced early safety education throughout the Mid Valley School District and strengthened community engagement.
