Beaver, Pa. — October 16 — As part of Fire Prevention Month, the Beaver Volunteer Fire Department welcomed students from Park Presbyterian Preschool for a fire-safety class. Chief Meers talked with the children about basic safety steps and what to do if they encounter smoke or fire at home.
Lieutenant Herbert and Lieutenant Healy then guided the students through the apparatus bay, showing them the fire trucks and demonstrating simple safety drills. The visit gave the preschoolers a hands-on introduction to fire safety and a chance to meet their local firefighters.
