On October 19, the Bendersville Community Fire Department (Company 7) was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Mt. Tabor Road. Crews arrived to find a single vehicle off the roadway with significant front-end damage after striking and dislodging a utility pole. The impact left the vehicle partially elevated on the broken pole, with debris scattered along the roadside.
Despite the severity of the crash and the position of the vehicle, no injuries were reported. Fire personnel secured the scene, checked for hazards and assisted in ensuring the roadway was made safe for removal operations.
The department reminds drivers to remain alert and use caution, especially on rural roadways where conditions can change quickly.
