Moosic, Pa. — October 28 — A home fire on 2nd Street in Moosic Heights was responded to by the Greenwood Fire Department and first-alarm firms. Crews responded to a fire on an outdoor porch and collaborated with the Scranton Rescue Network to prevent the flames from entering the house. The family is residing with relatives after being uprooted. The cause of the fire was recorded as unknown, however the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal concluded that it started on the porch. Before leaving the area, firefighters finished suppression and overhaul.
