Wrightstown, Pa. — October 27—Members of the Lingohocken Fire Company were busy this week with two nights of hands-on training alongside nearby departments.
On Monday evening, Rescue 35 and company members teamed up with Newtown Fire Rescue and Lower Southampton Fire Department No. 1 for a rescue drill hosted by Northampton Township Fire Department. The training included specialized scenarios such as ring removals, patients trapped in machinery, and extrications involving trees and concrete.
On Tuesday night, crews practiced forcible entry techniques. They worked with both inward and outward swinging doors, defeated chains and padlocks, and cut rebar. The session took place at Newtown Fire Rescue’s Station 55, which provided the door prop for the practice.
Lingohocken Fire Company expressed gratitude to Northampton Township Fire Department and Newtown Fire Rescue for their teamwork and ongoing commitment to building skills and preparedness in the region.
