Wrightstown, Pa. — October 14 — The Officers and Members of the Lingohocken Fire Company announced they have purchased a used 2014 Pierce Arrow XT PUC Rescue Pumper from Falls Township Fire Company #1. This purchase is part of the department’s long-term plan to replace its equipment, specifically replacing Rescue 35, a 1997 E-One Cyclone.
After looking into new build options and delivery times, the apparatus committee chose the Falls Township Rescue 30 as a cost-effective and practical solution. The company found that buying this well-maintained unit would satisfy both budget and response needs while providing continued service to the community.
The new Rescue Pumper includes significant improvements, such as better safety features and a 750-gallon water tank paired with a 1,500 GPM pump. These capabilities are not available on the outgoing Rescue 35. The company expects delivery on November 1, intending to have it in service by early 2026 after repainting, equipment setup, and driver training.
