Port Royal, Pa. — November 11 — While responding to two local occurrences on Veterans Day, Friendship Fire Company No. 1 expressed gratitude to everyone who serves. One line was put into service after Squad 1 responded to a woodpile fire in Turbett Township late last night. A car crashed and sheared off a utility pole on Route 75 at Tyson Hill this morning, resulting in a brief power outage. Squad and Utility 1 responded to the scene. Before PPL Electric arrived, crews managed traffic. There were no reported injuries.
