Port Royal, Pa. — November 8 — In Turbett Township, Friendship Fire Company No. 1 helped the Pennsylvania State Police find a missing person. Alongside staff using ATVs and four-wheelers, Utility 1, Brush 1, and UTV 1 joined the endeavour. Mifflintown Hose Co., Thompsontown Volunteer Fire Company, and a number of other organisations provided additional assistance. K-9 units, a helicopter, and drones with thermal imaging capabilities helped search teams.
Chief 1, M. Tornambe, found the missing person walking along Route 333 as units were returning to quarters following a full-day operation involving numerous local and regional authorities. The person was securely discovered and helped after EMS and police were called back to the location to assess the situation.
