Port Royal, Pa. — November 4 — In the afternoon, Friendship Fire Company No. 1 responded to a brush fire on Oxbow Road in Spruce Hill Township. Before responders managed to confine it, the fire, which was first reported to be one acre, spread to about 2.5 acres. Firefighters performed mop-up operations without causing any injuries or property damage by using brush units and hand equipment to stop the spread.
