Heroin Supplier Taken Down In A Mid Afternoon Raid Yields 4,000 Packs of Heroin

On August 21, 2020 just after 2:25 PM, The United States Department of Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, City of Troy’s Special Operations Sector, City of Troy’s Emergency Response Team, Colonie Emergency Services Sector, City of Troy’s Detective Bureau, City of Troy’s Patrol Units, Rensselaer County Sheriffs Department’s Emergency Services Unit, and Rensselaer County Sheriffs Department’s Investigation unit Conducted a search warrant execution at 23 Erie Street.
Multiple tactical teams arrived in the area and quickly made entry to the target building at 23 Erie Street. As Federal agents and The tactical team made entry to the home they encountered numerous individuals. The tactical teams quickly took down the numerous individuals inside of the building and detained them. As the tactical teams quickly cleared the house and both teams radio to the outside commander and let the federal agents and special investigators know it is safe to enter the building. Close to a dozen individuals were brought outside and detained by police and federal agents while investigators search the house. Officers gathered and check the detained individuals information with the dispatcher. As the tactical teams cleared the house and made it outside they set up a perimeter around the front of the structure and in the rear of the structure.
As federal agents, special operation sector investigators, and detectives search the house and discovered a massive amount of heroin ready for distribution on the streets of Troy. Investigators also found one illegal handgun, a substantial amount of Intelligence, and a massive amount of cash. Evidence technicians began to process the scene and bag the evidence. Evidence technicians and investigators also took a vehicle in the rear of the property in for evidence. Federal agents and special investigators remained on scene for a short period of time. All of the subjects, but one was released. The individual that was taken into custody was taken into custody by federal authorities and is facing federal charges.
The City of Troy’s Police Departments Special Operations Sector, United States Department of Drug Enforcement Administration, and Rensselaer County Sheriffs Department has taken the hardest stand in the capital region against the dealers and suppliers of narcotics on the streets of the city of Troy and Rensselaer County. These officers have warned the narcotics dealers numerous times to leave and not come back, but they did not heed their warnings. The special investigators and federal agents are absolutely fed up with the narcotics on the streets of Rensselaer County and are not backing down from removing these narcotics dealers and suppliers from the streets and cleaning up the neighborhoods that they are polluting. The special investigators and federal agents will continue to make these dealers and suppliers look over their shoulders more than ever now. These special investigators will not back down, they will not slow down, they are coming for the suppliers and dealers... Bigger arrest are coming soon...
