Maybrook FD Flag Ceremony

MAYBROOK, NY - The 106th Annual Orange County Volunteer Firemen's Association Convention began on the morning of September 19th at the Maybrook Fire Department.

Eric Scholz, President of the Association, thanked everyone for attending. Colors were presented by Mechanicstown FD, the Pledge of Allegiance was said, and Isabella Schramm sang the National Anthem. Invocation was given by Orange County Vol. Firemen's Assoc. Chaplain Joey Dicioccio.

All deceased members' names were read and the bell was sounded for each member. Candles were also lit for the deceased members. Hymn of "Danny Boy" was then heard, followed by the Lords Prayer.

Placing the wreaths at the Memorial was done by Chief Ed Protsko, Ladies Aux President Deb Hanson, and Montgomery FD Chief Robert Reynolds, Jr. A Hudson Valley Firemen's Pipe and Drum bagpiper then played Amazing Grace.

The last blessing was then read by the Chaplain. After the ceremony breakfast was served inside the firehouse.
